The club has grown considerably in recent years. In fact, over the past two years, the team has doubled in size and repeatedly ranks nationally in both mountain biking and road racing. Mountain bike racing season occurs during the fall months; as winter takes hold, cyclocross races are held; the coming of spring brings road racing season. All races are divided into categories based on skill level. There are Men's A, B, C, and D categories as well as Women's A, B, and C categories.
The club members also participate in group social rides throughout the year. These rides vary in terrain, from a short afternoon outing for mountain biking on local trails to fast-paced road rides. The William and Mary Cycling Club welcomes all students, from freshmen to graduate students, who are interested in the sport of cycling.
